<p>A clamping device comprises a block (3) against which a clamping shackle (2) can be moved by means of a clamping screw (5). The effective region of the block (3) is provided with a shoulder (20) which receives one of the edge parts of a work piece (11). This effective region of the block (3) also comprises a constriction obtained by means of lateral recesses (15). The stopping surface (22) of the shoulder (20) is formed by the material of the block (3). The support surface (21) of the shoulder (20) is inset from the upper surface (9) of the block (3). The block (3) is provided with fastening means on a mounting plate. The distance between these means and the stopping surface (22) of the shoulder (20) is known and defined, so that the work piece (11) is aligned with respect to the starting point of the machining by a machine-tool simply by pressing on this stopping surface (22). Auxiliary stops (25) arranged on the block (3) of the clamping device fill in any gap between the side wall (103) of the work piece (11) and the stopping surface (22).</p> |
