IMPROVED MULTISECTIONED NOZZLE DAM

The improved multisectioned nozzle dam fitted with an integral bolt ring for isolating the steam generator comprises a primary pressure receiving side and a secondary side, a redundant sealing arrangement and support devices. The sealing arrangement includes at least three separate inflatable peripheral seals, a primary side flexible diaphragm and flexible section interface seal. The supporting devices comprise a number of independent bars bolted to the ring engaging the secondary side. The primary side is defined by a dam. A pressure sensing device is fitted which activates an alarm when the pressure between second and third inflatable seals increases to an undsirable level.
