PURPOSE: To increase an absorption speed of ε-caprolacton homopolymer in a living tissue by containing ε-caprolacton homopolymer and a crystallization modifier in an absorbable coating for a surgical product. CONSTITUTION: ε-Caprolacton homopolymer and a crystallization modifier are contained in a coating composition. Thereby, the crystallization modifier lowers crystallinity of polycaprolacton and delays a film forming ability so that an absorption speed of ε-caprolacton homopolymer in a living tissue is increased. Furthermore, mixtures of ε-caprolacton homopolymer with the crystallization modifier as well as mixtures of copolymer of ε-caprolacton and an absorbable monomer with the crystallization modifier can be obtained. Thereby, an absorbable matrix for adjusting release of a chemical substance or a drug can be obtained. |
