PURPOSE:To correctly continue data in a nonvolatile memory when a control substrate is exchanged by outputting and rewriting the content of the nonvolatile memory. CONSTITUTION:The copying controller is provided with a communication equipment 325 composed of an RS 232C part as a communication means and can transfer inner data to a data processor such as an outside computer. A RAM 305 is added with a backup circuit and stores the history of a machine such as the data necessary for the copying action, the number of sheets, energizing time and it is left even when a switch is turned off. In other words, the content of the nonvolatile memory can be transferred to the data processor such as an external computer by the communication equipment 325, and rewritten based on the data from the equipment 325. Thus, data in the nonvolatile memory is surely transferred, and reliability can be improved when the substrate is exchanged. |
