The scraper (1) according to the invention is designed in two parts and is composed of a single-piece foot part (2) which extends over the entire scraper length and includes the scraper ends and of a head part (3) which can be seated, as a cover, on the foot part (2) from above, the length of which is smaller than the scraper length, and which can be supported, by means of its two ends, against projecting shoulder surfaces (9) of the foot part. The connection of the two scraper parts takes place, approximately in the scraper central plane, via longitudinal weld seams (11) and, in the region of the shoulder surfaces (9), via transverse weld seams (12). The two scraper parts (2, 3) together form a scraper cutout (4) in which the bridge links serving for the chain connection are connected to one another and to the scraper via bolt articulations and/or pin articulations to form a structural unit. <IMAGE>
