For the simple production of a pressure sensor having high measuring accuracy, it is proposed to form the ceramic diaphragm and the ceramic base for clamping the pressure sensor from a sensor body moulded together in one piece, the clamping position being spaced off from the diaphragm by means of the interposition of flexible transitions, to avoid tensions. In a production method for a pressure sensor of this type, the diaphragm and the base having the clamping position are formed in one operation before firing to form a homogeneous sensor body. Of particular advantage is the design of a connection thread in the sensor body itself, since by this means separate connection housings are dispensed with.
