In order to create a device for generating heated aerosols for the inhalation treatment of humans which permits generation of an inhalable aerosol stream in a simple manner, is easy to operate, can be hygienically maintained and adjusted to suit the natural breathing of the patient, a back-breathing valve is integrated in an open system which comprises a plurality of containers mutually connected by a mist collecting channel with allocated nozzle atomisers.
