<p>A combination clip and hanger (1) is used to suspend articles from walls, especially fabric-covered soft-core partitions (15). The clip-hanger (1) is formed of a single strand of stiff but bendable wire which defines three components of the hanger, namely, a clip, a hook (11), and a prong (3). The clip is formed by two or more segments of wire (7, 13), oriented in a generally longitudinal direction, and location in approximately the same plane. The hook (11), is a generally transverse loop of wire, connecting two of the clip-forming segments (7, 13), and protruding from the plane of the clip. One or both of the free ends (5) of the wire can be formed into a prong. The wire (71) can be inserted through a generally flat backer (73) which prevents injury due to the prong (77), and protects the fabric (85) of the partition (81). the clip-hanger (1) can be used to clip articles (20), such as papers, to the partition (15), without piercing the papers. It can also be used to hang pictures from the hook of the clip-hanger.</p> |
