The invention relates to a web made in flat form from fluororubber for use in sealing systems, for example hatch cover seals on ships, specifically for the transporting of chemicals, the web having a smooth surface. The essential feature of this invention is that the web has at least one reinforcing layer of fluorine-containing plastics film, which is adhesively bonded to the fluororubber.
