Telescopic sight mounting

The pivoting foot of the telescopic sight is inserted from the side, by means of a cone which is flattened on the sides and is tapered upwards, into a corresponding recess in a weapon rail mounted on the top of the shooting weapon (gun or bow), and is locked by turning it through 90@. Since the recess is incorporated over the entire width of the weapon rail, a large contact surface is produced for absorbing the recoil forces, with the consequence that a line of sight which is located correspondingly lower and, in consequence, improved aiming accuracy are made possible. A spring-loaded clamping slide is provided for play-free mounting, which clamping slide clamps the cone of the pivoting foot in the recess in the weapon rail. The rear foot of the telescopic sight is likewise constructed as a cone and is clamped in a recess in the weapon rail by means of a spring-loaded bolt part.
