MIXED BRINE FOR ULTRA-LOW TEMPERATURE IMMERSION FREEZING OPERATION

PURPOSE:To enable a freezing point to be decreased down to about -60 to -40 deg.C by a method wherein mixed solution in which calcium chloride of less than 9wt.% is added to ethanol aqueous solution of about 45 to 60wt.% is applied. CONSTITUTION:A freezing point of mixed brine in which calcium chloride of less than 9wt.% is added to ethylalcoholic aqueous solution of about 45 to 60wt.% is within a range or about -60 to -40 deg.C and thus a linear freezing point descending curve can be attained. In case of this mixed brine, calcium chloride has a better solution and crystallization and a freezing point is not increased more than a freezing point of ethanol solution having the same concentration. This calcium chloride does not show any high viscosity. With such an arrangement, it is possible to use it under an ultra-low temperature.
