PURPOSE:To reduce the fatigue of a photosensitive body by permitting an exposure means to irradiate the photosensitive body with light beams generated by means of a light emitting diode so as to form an electrostatic latent image, and permitting a destaticizing means, which irradiates the body with light beams of 605-635nm central wavelength generated by means of the light emitting diode, to destaticize. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is produced by forming a photosensitive layer on the surface of a conductive body; a charge corotron 2 uniformly electrifies the surface of the photosensitive drum 1. An image recorder is provided with the exposure means 3 and the destaticizing means 12; the exposure means 3 irradiates the photosensitive drum 1 with light beams, generated by the light emitting diode, to form an electrostatic latent image, and the destaticizing means 12 irradiates the photosensitive drum 1 with light beams of the 605-635nm central wavelength, generated by the light emitting diode, to destaticize the photosensitive drum 1. Thus, the photosensitive drum 1 is restrained from getting fatigued, and satisfactory picture quality can be obtained. |
