PURPOSE: To hierarchize access to a network from stations connected to the network so that each station can have accessing precedence by indicating the accessing precedence of each station by the number of bits already sent out from another station connected to the network before the station is enabled to perform access to the network. CONSTITUTION: To each station connected to a network, an accessing precedence feature to the network is assigned. The accessing precedence of a certain station to the network is defined by the number of bits already sent out from another station connected to the network before the station is enabled to perform access to the network for transmitting its own information. Therefore, the access to the network from the stations connected to the network can be hierarchized. |
