PURPOSE:To automate picture quality inspection and to enable the quantitative inspection by controlling the average density level constant in a picture, for which a video signal is received and the image pickup of a liquid crystal cell is executed, and notifying the picture quality of the whole liquid crystal cell with receiving the video signal for which the density is enlarged. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal cell 1 receives respective color video signals such as red, green and blue outputted from a liquid crystal driver 7, horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals and driving voltage, and the display drive of the cell 1 to be white is executed. The video signal is sent to a monitor television 12 and the picture of the liquid crystal cell 1 is displayed. Then, this video signal is sent to a density enlarging circuit 13. The enlarged video signal is sent to an automatic diaphragm mechanism 10b of a CCD camera 10 and sent to a picture input device 14. The automatic diaphragm mechanism 10b receives the enlarged video signal and adjusts diaphragm according to this video signal so that the average density level of the picture to be image- picked up by the CCD camera 10 can be at the prescribed level. Thus, the picture quality can be automatically inspected and the quantitative inspection can be executed. |
