In the prodn. of prods. from PVDF by mixing with Fe2O3 pigment powder to PVDF moulding compsns. before processing, the impact strength of the prods. is increased significantly by adding the Fe2O3 pigment as a masterbatch. Also claimed are PVDF prods. produced in this way. Pref. the masterbatch contains very fluid PVDF with a MFI 230/5 of 20-40 g/10 min. It contains 3-5 wt.% Fe2O3 pigment, dispersed as homogeneously as possible.
