PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a device by providing the device with a moduling means, expressing a computer program by a tree structure chart, moduling the chart and accessing and inputting the module. CONSTITUTION:A program of a computer CPU is expressed by a tree structure chart in a multiwindow system and the edition of the chart is moduled. In the case of restoring the module, a logical chart in a command selecting area 50 is formed, and when a menu is selected by the mouse and button is depressed, the menu is displayed. When the mouse is moved to 'MODULE ENTER' on the menu and the button is released, a window is erased and entered into a module symbol and the original chart is restored. Since the same screen as the original one can be displayed, reference is easily executed and the perfor mance is improved.
