<p>PURPOSE:A coating material for finishing, e.g. finishing tiles of buildings, consisting of a monomeric mixture of vinyl acetate, ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a hydroxy acrylate monomer modified with caprolactone, etc. and an additive for coating materials, and having improved pigment dispersibility and property of preventing the segregation. CONSTITUTION:A coating material obtained by incorporating (A) a copolymer of a monomeric mixture consisting of (i) 40-65wt% vinyl acetate with (ii) 30-55wt% ethylenically unsaturated monomer, e.g. methyl methacrylate, (iii) 1-10wt% hydroxy(meth)acrylate modified with caprolactone, e.g. a >=8C long- chain (meth)acrylate having terminal OH groups expressed by the formula (R is H or methyl; n is 1 or 2), and (iv) if necessary 0.1-1.0wt% unsaturated (di)carboxylic acid, e.g. acrylic acid, with (B) an additive for coating materials. USE:Finishing coating materials, e.g. mastic finishing, etc.</p> |
