The article comprises a plane basic body (5) which is intended for application to a plane surface (17). The application surface (21) of the flexible article is provided with islands (25) made of an adhesive agent or adhesive medium (25). The adhesive agent (25) is made of a material which remains adhesive virtually permanently even after setting. In at least one of the surfaces (2 or 3) of the basic body (5), cutouts (6) are made, which form patterns in the surface of the basic body (5). The islands (25) are situated between the cutouts (6). When this article is an insole, it virtually does not slide in the shoe.
