PURPOSE:To prevent wrinkle from occurring in the width direction of a strip by arranging 1st nozzle means to inject pressurized fluid to the upper surface of the strip and a 2nd nozzle means to inject pressurized fluid to the lower surface alternately in the advancing direction of the strip. CONSTITUTION:The 1st nozzle means 21a, 21c inject pressurized fluid to the upper surface of the strip A and downward force is applied to the strip A on the line extending in the width direction of the strip A. The 2nd nozzle means 21b injects pressurized fluid to the lower surface of the strip A and the upward force is applied to the strip A on the line extending in the width direction of the strip A. Since these 1st and 2nd nozzle means are arranged alternately to the advancing direction, the strip A alternately receives the downward force and the upward force and travels on the locus which curves upward. In this way, the strip A is restrained in the width direction and the wrinkle is prevented from occurring. |
