PURPOSE: To maintain a sealed state to an appropriate degree between finger members and a rotating cylinder and to facilitate manufacture, exchange and maintenance of a radial seal by providing a plural number of the finger members to be pressed on an outer peripheral surface of the rotating cylinder. CONSTITUTION: Finger members 14 of a sealing part 10 are arranged so as to make contact with an outer peripheral surface 23 of a rotating cylinder 16, and the members 14 are pressed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 16 by spring force of spring steel layers 21, 22 of the sealing part 10. In this way, the sealing part 10 forms a seal with an appropriate sealing property between a window box 17 and the cylinder 16. Thereafter, a not round but rigid surface 23 applies force different in strength on the sealing part 10 when the cylinder 16 is rotated, but as many of the finger members 14 are formed respectively on each of the sealing parts 10, it is possible to correspond to not-uniform force without damaging soundness of the seal. That is, a large number of the finger parts of each of the sealing parts 10 are independently bent and curved from each other, and the sealing parts 10 in a combined state abutting their ends with each other constantly carry out sealing work on the outer peripheral surface 23. |
