PURPOSE:To improve effects in carrying out sterilization and insect destruction by smoking by passing superheated steam through a mixture of an expelling substance of pathogenic germs, insect pests, etc., spreader, carrier, etc., vaporizing a reaction product of aerosol and dispersing. CONSTITUTION:Superheated steam is passed through a mixture of an expelling substance of pathogenic germs, insect pests, a spreader, a carrier, aerosol condensation nuclei and further a thermal decomposition inhibitor of the expelling substance and an aerosol reaction product is vaporized and dispersed to carry out sterilization and insect destruction by smoking. A guanidine salt, a guanidine ester, a carbonate, a bicarbonate, an amine, a nitro compound having low N content, etc., are used as the thermal de composition inhibitor and the amount used is 0.05-10pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. expelling substance. By adding the thermal decomposition inhibitor, since not only efficiency is improved but also decomposition ratio is not greatly changed by using superheated steam having the same temperature, various kinds of expelling substances can be simultaneously used. An expelling substance having low vapor pressure is readily vaporized and the rate is high. |
