PURPOSE:To control a lock-up clutch in a half-clutch condition even in speed changing by previously memorizing an estimated gear ratio in speed changing, a computing the turbine rotating speed of a hydraulic power transmission in speed changing based on it. CONSTITUTION:A speed changing condition of estimated gear ratio in speed changing is previously memorized by a memory mean for an estimated gear ratio in speed changing, and estimated rotating speed of a turbine runner in speed changing is computed by a computing means from the estimated gear ratio and an actual output shaft rotating speed. A half-clutch control in speed changing means controls the half-clutch condition of a lock-up clutch through a solenoid so as to make the difference between an actual turbine rotating speed detected with a sensor and the computed turbine rotating speed in a prescribed condition. Thus, the lock-up clutch can be controlled to be in half- clutch condition even in speed changing, without use of the turbine rotating speed sensor. |
