PURPOSE:To prevent accidental breakage of a flexible pipe which is interconnected between the ship body and a fixed pipe on a turret during turning motion of a hull by winding the flexible pipe about a running block by means of a pipe guide groove and an automatic tension, so that the proper tension is caused in the flexible pipe. CONSTITUTION:The ship body or hull A of a turret mooring ship has at its approximately midpoint a throughhole B through which a turret 100 is inserted to be secured to an anchor, not shown, for anchorage at the sea bottom. This turret 100 enables the hull 4 to turn by about + or -340 deg.. A flexible pipe 1 is wound about a guide groove 2 formed in the circumference of the turret 100 and has at one end thereof connected to a fixed pipe F located on the hull side and at its other end to a flexible pipe f located on the turret side. The flexible pipe 1 is wound about a running block 3 between the turret 100 and fixed pipe F. The running block 3 is movably disposed to move about a guide rail 4 through an automatic tensioner 5. |
