PURPOSE:To simplify coordinate calculation, printing operation, etc., and to shorten a processing time as a whole by changing the number of outline points generation of a vector font based on control points. CONSTITUTION:A control point table storing the coordinate positions of control point is stored in a vector font information storing part 22. A normal printing mode for generating dots (the outline points of the vector font) which are generated by a proper number from the information of the control points of the vector font based on an instruction from a host computer 1 and developing the font to dots based on the generated point or a draft mode for subtracting the number of dots to be generated from that of the normal printing mode and developing the font to dots is selected and data are printed out by an output part 27. |
