A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYISOCYANATES CONTAINING ISOCYANURATE GROUPS AND THE USE THEREOF AS AN ISOCYANATE COMPONENT IN POLYISOCYANATE POLYADDITION PRODUCTS The present invention is directed to a process for the production of polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups by trimerizing a mixture of aliphatic-cycloaliphatic diisocyanates having a sterically unhindered isocyanate group bound to a primary aliphatic carbon atom and a sterically hindered isocyanate group bound to a tertiary carbon atom which forms a part of a cycloaliphatic ring system and 1,6-diisocyanatohexane. The present invention is also directed to the polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups produced according to this process and to their use, optionally in blocked form, as an isocyanate component in the production of polyisocyanate polyaddition products, preferably polyurethane lacquers.
