LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display device whose production yield is excellent by providing a spacer consisting of an insulating film at a place where the element of a substrate is not provided. CONSTITUTION:A picture element provided with a thin film transistor TFT and a transparent picture element electrode ITO is constituted on the surface of the inner side(liquid crystal side) of a laser transparent glass substrate SUB 1. Then, the spacer SP consisting of the insulating film is provided at the place where the element of the lower transparent glass substrate SUB 1 is not provided. Thus, the production yield is made excellent because the thin film transistor TFT is prevented from being destroyed and the fault of a luminescent spot is avoided owing to the spacer SP.
