PURPOSE:To prevent external light being incident from reaching a photosensitive body by automatically evading a mirror scanner which is stopped at a light transmitting part when a cover part of a platen glass is opened at the time of a panning mode. CONSTITUTION:In the panning mode, the mirror scanner 15 is positioned in the light transmitting part of the platen glass 2. Then, when an automatic document feeding device 3 is opened, a cover member opening/closing detecting sensor S3 which detects that is provided on the top surface of the machine body 1, and the mirror scanner 15 which is in a fixed position for panning is automatically returned to a position other than the light transmitting part of the platen glass 2 by a detecting signal of the sensor S3 at the time when the automatic document feeding device 3 is opened. Thus, even when the automatic document feeding device 3 is opened, external light is picked up by the mirror scanner 15 and local exposing of the photosensitive body drum 10 is evaded. |
