<p>PURPOSE:To transport a transfer sheet staying in a supply path efficiently without any overlap by specifying a distance from the end of a cassette to a sheet detecting switch along a transport path. CONSTITUTION:A distance D from the sheet outlet of a cassette to a sheet detecting switch SW4 along a transport path is set less than D=L-l2-V2l1/V1, where the length of a transfer sheet transport path from a cassette attached to a sheet supply part provided with a feed roller for sending a transfer sheet at speed V2 to the nip part of a regist roller for sending out the transfer sheet at speed V1 is set to L, and a distance from the rear end of the preceeding transfer sheet passing through the regist roller to the leading end of the next transfer sheet is set to l2. When the length of the transfer sheet held by the regist roller from the nip part of the regist roller to the upstream side end in the transport direction is l1, the supply of the succeeding transfer sheet is started.</p> |
