PURPOSE: To increase the degree of mixing of a primary air/fuel mixture, by arranging a plurality of fuel nozzles in two tiers along the circumference of a combustor dome and, at the same time, setting the swirling directions of the swirling devices in adjacent nozzles oppositely to each other. CONSTITUTION: Fuel nozzles 12a are arranged in two tiers along the circumference G of the dome 10a of a combustor. In addition, the swirling directions of the air blown from adjacent nozzles 12a are set oppositely to each other and the swirling devices in the adjacent nozzles 12 are set at different radii. Of the nozzles 12a, those on the inside have swirling devices set to the clockwise swirling direction and those on the outside have swirling devices set to the counterclockwise swirling direction. Since the vortexes flowing around the swirling devices in adjacent nozzles 12a can mutually intensify their power while avoiding the orientation of a combustion gas toward the liner on the wall surface of the combustor, a high combustion load can be obtained by increasing the degree of mixing of a fuel-air mixture. |
