NEW MATERIAL:Antibiotic PF1016 substance having the following properties and a salt thereof. Color and shape: white powder. Molecular formula: C44H58O16. Mass spectrum (SI-MS): m/z 843(M+H)<+>. Melting point: 143-146 deg.C. Specific rotatory power: [alpha]D<15>=+5.7 deg.. (C=1.0, MeOH). Solubility: soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in acetone and ethyl acetate and insoluble in water. A weakly acidic substance, etc. USE:An antifungal agent and anti-mycoplasma agent having low toxicity. PREPARATION:A fungus (e.g. FERM P-10511) belonging to asporous Fungi imperfecti, capable of producing antibiotic PF1016A substance is cultured preferably at about 26 deg.C by shaking culture for 2-10 days. |
