<p>PURPOSE: To further accelerator the evaporation of supplied fuel by constituting a protective sleeve of a glow plug by a fine wire fabric or a wire assembled material. CONSTITUTION: A scope of a glow wire 25 of a glow plug 22 is coaxially surrounded by a protective sleeve 26 of a thin wall across a distance in the radial direction. Moreover, a conduit connection part 27 of a fuel supply conduit 28 enters a glow plug receive chamber 11 in the radial direction and an opening 29 reaches just ahead of an external wall of the protective sleeve 26. Here, since the protective sleeve 26 is made of a fine wire fabric or a wire assembled material, a surface area of the protective sleeve 26 is markedly large. Consequently, the wire fabric or wire assembled material of the protective sleeve 26 is rapidly heated, very uniform evaporation of fuel colliding therewith is promoted, and a burning body in an air-fuel adjusting chamber 10 becomes unnecessary.</p> |
