摘要

Process of improving the purity of metals produced by fractionisation crystallisation is where an internally cooled body is plunged into a metal liq. bath maintained near its m.pt. to produce small crystals which collect at the bottom of the container. The crystals are compacted together by a piston device to obtain large crystals by sintering and the solid and liq. fractions are sepd. by tilting the container. The container is maintained in this tilted position until the solid mass is completely drain of liq.
