PURPOSE:To improve the piezoelectric characteristics, homogeneity, and denseness of a title composition by specifying the composition of three ingredients in the title composition which employs lead titanate zirconate. CONSTITUTION:In a piezoelectric ceramic composition comprising Pbx, Tiy, Zrz(Ni1/3Nb2/3)1-y-zO3, there are assumed relations: 1.00<x<=0.98, 0.33<=y<=0.38, 0.12<=x<=0.19. Hereby, lead oxide, which might be freed by completely reacting lead oxide, is prevented from being produced, and stabilized as a solid of lead titanate zirconate. Further, no vaporization or very small amount of vaporization if any of the lead oxide simply be allowed even under the high temperature sintering environment. Thus, the denseness, homogeneity and piezoelectric characteristic of the composition can be improved. |
