PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin useful for optical element, etc., having colorless transparency or heat resistance, etc., comprising a copolymer of specific ratio of t-butyl cyclohexyl methacrylate unit, methyl methacrylate and cyclohexyl methacrylate, etc., and having specific molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:The aimed resin is composed of a copolymer of (A) 2-30mol% tert-butyl cyclohexyl methacrylate unit, (B) 60-96mol% methyl methacrylate, (C) 2-20mol% cyclohexyl methacrylate and (D) 0-10mol% copolymerizable ethylenic unsaturated compound and components A+B+C+D=100mol%, and weight-average molecular weight of the copolymer is in a range of 10<4>-10<7>. |
