In accordance with the present equipping method, a notch 4 is made on the periphery of each lens 2 of a pair of spectacles at the location provided for fixing an accessory. Next, an attachment constituted by a small stud 1, made of metal or other appropriate material, is installed in this notch 4, and this is done by placing, towards the outside, a projecting tooth provided beforehand on the outer wall of this stud. Then, when mounting each lens, this projecting tooth is engaged on the inside of the groove or bezel present on the inner wall of each spectacle element in order to receive the rib for preventing this lens from moving. Now, each attachment 1 thus fixed includes a housing capable of receiving a pin or other fixing member carried by each of the accessories to be fixed in place. The subject of the invention is also the spectacles thus equipped and the decorative or utilitarian accessories intended to be fitted onto such spectacles. <IMAGE>
