The self-supporting suspended floor structure is formed by troughed metal sheets covered by, and attached to, profiled sheeting with corrugations (13) running at right angles to the troughes below. A concrete floor slab (20) and flooring material (16) are laid on top. - Under the troughs are warm air ducts (17a-17c), insulation (15), and additional joists (18), with a ceiling finish below. Heated air from a central installation is passed through the ducts (17a-c), entering the troughs through outlets (27), and is distributed throughout the floor via the corrugations. The warm air is recirculated through the central heater. |
