PURPOSE:To simultaneously start plural function units to improve the quality of diagnosis by providing a transfer means which transfers a signal which is sent from a diagnostic function unit and simultaneously starts processors of plural function units. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic function unit 21 selects, for example, a function unit 17 through a service bus 15 based on the indication of an FMD (field maintenance device) 13 and stores a diagnostic program in the control storage. Next, the unit 21 selects a function unit 20 and stores the diagnostic program in the control storage and sends the signal which simultaneously starts processors of units 17 and 20 to a transfer means 22. Since the means 22 transfers this start signal to processors of units 17 and 20, units 17 and 20 simultaneously start the operation and respective processors simultaneously execute given diagnostic programs. Thus, the reliability of a controller is improved because plural function units are simultaneously diagnosed not only to eliminate the loss of the diagnostic time but also perform the diagnosis of high quality. |
