PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL DISK AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To enhance quality, appearance and economic property by forming a protective layer on the surface of a disk for forming a signal by a compressing method. CONSTITUTION:Both quartz glass plate 1 and a disk 3 are held in such a state that a gap is held at specified degrees. UV resin 0 of amount necessary for forming a protective layer having prescribed thickness is pushed up and discharged from the tip part of the hollow part 2a of a cylinder 2. Then a pressing plate 4 is lowered by a pneumatic cylinder to push down the disk 3 and UV resin 0 is pressed while the tip part of the hollow part 2a of the cylinder 2 is closed by a flange 6. In this state, a high-speed flare diaphragm 9 is opened and UV light is passed through the quartz glass plate 1 from an UV light source 7. UV resin 0 in the gap part against the disk 3 is irradiated with UV light for a short time and cured to form a protective layer. Thereafter the high-speed flare diaphragm 9 is closed and the disk 3 with the protective layer formed thereon is stretched and released from the quartz glass plate 1.
