The invention relates to a machine for the automatic laying down of a flexible seal, in particular of an external seal into a groove of a door leaf, including a loading table, a device for storing the seal and a device for laying down and cutting off the latter. This machine therefore includes a mechanism for conveying, referencing and measuring the door leaf, a support gantry, a system for paying out the seal and a device for laying down and cutting off the seal. The latter device comprises a frame, a gantry which can move translationally on this frame and a trolley (slide) which can move translationally on this gantry which supports a manipulation head which rotates with respect to the trolley (slide), and comprising guide means for driving the seal, means for cutting the seal and means for laying down the seal. The manipulation head includes a fixed part 10 supporting the cutting means 33 and an arm 11, articulated to this fixed part, supporting at its free end the means 37, 38 for laying down the seal. <IMAGE>
