The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing extruded elements made of a material based on thermoplastic polymer rigidified by crosslinking using a monomer, in which the thermoplastic polymer is processed, in a single pass, in a mixing-compression-extrusion device, and, in a first part of the said device, the said polymer and monomer are mixed in the presence of an organic peroxide, in order to soften and compact it, until the said peroxided has been consumed in a reaction of grafting the monomer onto the polymer, and in that, in a second part of the said device, still during mixing, a catalyst suitable for crosslinking the mixture is injected into the softened mixture before it is expelled from the said device via an extrusion die. <IMAGE>
