PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous silicon solar cell having a high long term reliability, long lifetime and high photoelectric conversion efficiency by forming a transparent dielectric layer onto at least the internal surface of an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:A transparent dielectric layer 6 such as SixOy (1<=x<=2, 2<=y<=3) is shaped to at least the internal surface, a section between at least a transparent conductive film layer 40 and an overcoat layer 50, of the overcoat layer 50. Consequently, the adhesion of the overcoat layer 50 and the transparent conductive layer 40 is improved by the transparent dielectric layer 6, and not only the cracking and peeling of the transparent conductive film layer 40 are prevented but also the intrusion of moisture from the overcoat layer 50 and degassing are obviated. Accordingly, the deterioration of an amorphous silicon semiconductor layer 30 is prevented, thus acquiring an amorphous silicon solar cell having high reliability for a prolonged term and improved photoelectric conversion efficiency. |
