摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To grasp damage of metal armor wires easily with low cost by arranging a galvanic electricity anode in order to monitor corrosion-proof current while furthermore arranging a reference electrode via a potentiometer in order to measure the potential of the metal armor wires. CONSTITUTION:A zinc galvanic electricity anode 8 is connected with armor steel wires of a submarine cable 7, and an ammeter 9 is connected between them. Checkup electrodes 13 are connected through potentiometers 12 with the submarine cable 7 with 100m interval. When the armor steel wire of the submarine cable 7 is exposed and corrosion takes place, corrosion-proof current flows and detected through the ammeter 9. When the galvanic anode 8 and the coating of the submarine cable 7 are perfect, the potentiometer 12 indicates natural immersion potential of the galvanic electricity anode 8 in the sea and since transfer is made to natural immersion potential of the steel wire in the sea according to reduction of corrosion-proof effect of the galvanic electricity anode 8, occurrence of trouble can be monitored.</p>
