Foil tunnel and arrangement for the mechanical handling thereof

A foil tunnel is described, which is suitable as a climatic protection for field fruits and preferably designed for mechanical handling. To this end, the tunnel consists of at least two rows of support poles, the head ends of the support poles of each row being interconnected by wire and a foil web being covered over the wire/support pole frame, which web is fixed next to the support pole rows by earth banks and is held tensioned by earth piles arranged on the foil web between the support pole rows. At the same time, this region of the foil is perforated so that collecting precipitation is led off into the interior of the foil tunnel. The erection of the foil tunnel is carried out by a movable erection arrangement which sets the support poles, lays the connecting wire, arranges the foil web on the wire/support pole frame and fixes the foil web by ploughing off. Dismantling is carried out by means of a self-propelling clearing machine which hauls in the foil web in a fold-free manner.
