摘要 In a composite material for sliding (plane, friction) bearing elements which has, on a metallic support (substrate) layer, an antifriction layer comprising an aluminium alloy which contains in the aluminium, as well as the usual permissible impurities, additions of from 1 to 3 % by weight of nickel, from 0.5 to 2.5 % by weight of manganese and from 0.02 to 1.5 % by weight of copper, from 0.1 to 2 % by weight of bismuth and from 0 to 2 % by weight of lead, there is provided an addition of tin of between 0.5 and 20 % by weight. This addition of tin achieves trouble-free running on the sliding bearing element even at relatively high speed, e.g. rotational rates above 6,000 revolutions per minute of a bearing-mounted shaft, reduced friction and improved emergency running properties. In place of the addition of tin, an addition of lead of between 1 % by weight and 10 % by weight can also be provided if this is advantageous or necessary in the individual case. The antifriction layer is preferably underlaid by a bonding layer of aluminium or of an aluminium alloy free of precipitated tin particles and lead particles, in particular if the support layer comprises steel.
