PURPOSE:To make it possible to readily carry out cleaning, inspecting, etc., by providing a suction cylinder for twisting slivers in a drafting zone in a manner capable of being in contact and separating from the sliver in the drafting zone. CONSTITUTION:A drafting device 1 is constructed of bottom rollers 2 and 6, middle rollers 3 and 7, front rollers 4 and 8 and delivery rollers 5 and 9. The top rollers 6-9 thereof are mounted to a pendulum arm 12. A suction cylinder 21 and driving roller 22 are provided between the front rollers 4 and 8 and the delivery rollers 5 and 9 and contact points of both are aligned with a running passage of a sliver (S). The suction cylinder 21 is mounted on a support bracket 31, which is then liftably attached to the pendulum arm 12. |
