Nozzle for a fluidised-bed firing

The invention relates to a low-backflow nozzle for a fluidised bed which is designed in a simple way. When the nozzle flow is interrupted, the bed material which penetrates rearwards into the widened cross-section of the nozzle constructed like a syphon is continuously compressed along the way, until eventually, with the simultaneous action of frictional forces, self-blocking occurs, and the nozzle is closed on the side of the fluidised bed. If the nozzle flow now resumes, the cross-sectional widening with increasing flow path permits a loosening of the bed material and thus removes the self-blocking. The nozzle can be blown free again in the direction of the fluidised bed. <IMAGE>
