Regulating speed of rotation of horizontal rotary storage disc for strip removed at inner course of strip coil esp for cine-film drive

The method for regulating the r.p.m of a horizontally rotating storage disc (1) e.g. for film. The strip material is removed at an inner course of a strip coil. The running in angle of the removed strip is measured by reflection, before a locally fixed running in point within the inner course. The rpm of the storage disc (1) is readjusted, depending on the deviations of the running in angle at the running in point, on constant relative lengths of the removed strip. The running in angle is measured by IR light at both sides of the strip passing the running in point. The associated measuring signals are compared with each other to produce a differential signal, which is used for readjustment when a determined value is reached.
