发明名称 BLADE EDGE MONITORING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To realize the blade edge monitoring device which can monitor a cutting state automatically with high accuracy and high reliability by calculating the difference image of sample image information on a blade edge and extracting the quantity of variation corresponding to blade edge abnormality from the light and shade histogram of the difference image. CONSTITUTION:An image processing part 60 stores image information V, obtained by picking up an image of the blade edge of a blade 1, in an image information storage part 63 with a detection timing signal which is inputted from a cutting scrap controller 4. The stored image information is sampled periodically and the difference arithmetic of those sampled values is performed to calculate the light and shade histogram of the obtained difference image. Further, the light and shade histogram is weighted and added as to all density difference levels and the sum value is compared with a set limit value to decide a blade edge abnormal state. This decision result is displayed at a monitor part 52 to easily monitor the state of the blade edge 1 with high accuracy, thereby reducing the operation load on the operator greatly.
