PURPOSE: To obtain a wood preservative and soil-treating agent comprising an antimicrobial agent such as 3-iodo-2-propynylbutylcarbamate and a pyrethroid-type insecticide in combination, and effective against wood-discoloring and wood-destroying fungi, and further against a termite. CONSTITUTION: This wood preservative and soil-treating agent comprises an antimicrobial compound selected from 3-iodo-2-propynylbutylcarbamate, 3-iodo-2- propynylhexylcarbamate, 3-iodo-2-propynylcyclohexylcarbamate, 3-iodo-2- propynylphenylcarbamate and a mixture thereof, and a pyrethroid-type compound selected from cyano-(4-fluoro-3-phenoxyphenyl)-methyl-3-(2,2- dichloroethenyl)-2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropanecarboxylate, etc. The wood preservative and soil-treating agent is used for treatment of a soil to preserve a wood and to prevent a termite from invading and keeps the effects for a long time. |
