PURPOSE:To perform the mounting and demounting of a wheel cap easily and surely by forming an opening at a part of an energizing ring which energizes an engaging claw of a main body of the wheel cap, and installing an energizing ring control means which controls the diameter of the energizing ring by expanding and contracting the opening. CONSTITUTION:On a main body of a wheel cap 1, an engaging claw 5 is formed on the circumference of the back of a disc-shaped decoration plate 1a, and an energizing ring 2 is mounted on the inside of the engaging claw 5 in the radial direction, which ring 2 energizes the claw 5 toward the outside in the radial direction. In this case, an opening 2a is formed at a part of the energizing ring 2. Furthermore, a cam 4 is installed on a cam holding part 6 on the back of the cap's main body as an energizing ring control means which controls the diameter by expanding and contracting the opening 2a. Furthermore, locking projections 4c, 7 are formed respectively on the lever 4b of a cam plate 4a and on the back of the cap's main body 1, which projections 4c, 7 are to engage mutually, as a means of position adjustment by rigidly fixing a cam plate 4a of the cam 4 at a specified angle and adjusting the size of the opening 2a. |
